Design Thinking
Trinity's Design Thinking program begins in the preschool classroom and extends through K-5 in a dedicated Design Thinking lab.
Students experience a dynamic approach to learning that fosters creativity, problem-solving, and resilience. This hands-on methodology encourages students to tackle challenges with empathy and perseverance, empowering them to take risks, embrace failure as a learning opportunity, and develop a growth mindset—essential life skills that benefit them well beyond the classroom.
In our design thinking lab, students engage in age-appropriate projects that involve prototyping, testing, and refining their ideas. This collaborative environment encourages experimentation and innovation, allowing students to apply their ideas to real-world contexts. From kindergarten onward, the lab becomes a space where creativity and technical literacy intersect, helping students see technology as a tool for personal expression and problem-solving.
Our Design Thinking program helps students solve problems and develop executive functioning skills, enabling them to approach complex challenges confidently and creatively. These transferable skills are valuable across various fields, from science and technology to the arts, and are crucial in preparing students for an ever-evolving world.
At Trinity, cultivating curiosity, perseverance, and creative exploration is foundational to future success. Our Design Thinking program helps students build the confidence to take on new challenges, equipping them with the mindset and skills to navigate life with resilience and a sense of purpose.
