Service Learning & Chapel
Our Early Childhood Program emphasizes the importance of understanding our role as global citizens through engaging and age-appropriate activities.
Service learning, a cornerstone of Trinity School’s educational philosophy, plays a significant role by helping students select service projects that resonate with their interests and brainstorm strategies for positively impacting the community.
Our Chapel complements this by providing a space for reflection, spiritual growth, and action, helping to build a strong sense of community and belonging among our young students. Through simple and meaningful discussions, preschoolers explore questions like:
- "How can I make a difference?"
- "What is the difference between need and work?"
- “How can I make a difference?”
- “What does it mean to be a Trinity School upstander?”
- “What does being helpful and kind mean?”
These discussions encourage them to recognize their potential impact on others and their surroundings. Additionally, our Chapel introduces children to various ethical traditions, broadening their understanding of different cultures and beliefs. These discussions promote respectful dialogue and a greater appreciation for diversity. By integrating service learning and spiritual reflection into our program, we intentionally build a sense of responsibility and awareness of our role in the community and the broader world.
