Chapel and Religious Studies

Trinity's Chapel and Religious Studies programs are rooted in the Episcopal Christian tradition and focus on love, empathy, and service.
We celebrate diverse spiritual paths and encourage students to explore their beliefs while learning about the world’s major religions. Guided by the principle of “loving your neighbor as yourself” and faith in a loving God who created and cares for all people uniquely, students engage with faith, values, and moral questions in ways that connect to their personal experiences.

Chapel services offer a space for students to lead, guide prayers, perform skits based on Bible stories, and reflect on character themes. These services include moments of communal celebration of various world religions, traditions, and holidays and opportunities for personal reflection and meditation. They encourage student agency by enabling individuals to express themselves spiritually and creatively. Parents are always welcome, adding to the sense of community and inclusivity.

Religious Studies encourages inquiry and thoughtful contemplation through activities, questions, and interactive discussions. Students explore and discuss their opinions and experiences about personal faith, spirituality, God, moral issues, religion, and values, fostering respect for diverse beliefs and developing critical thinking skills. Through reflection on moral choices, gratitude, and emotional well-being, students connect what they learn and their own lives.

Service is woven into both Chapel and Religious Studies. Students are inspired to make a difference through community outreach and environmental care and learn that their actions can positively impact others and the world.

At Trinity, these programs encourage authentic exploration of faith, respect for different traditions, and a sense of responsibility to serve others and care for the Earth.
